Boylston Basketball

Boylston basketball

The Boylston Youth Basketball Organization offers a unique opportunity for boys and girls to learn about the fundamentals of basketball while developing motor skills, social skills and improving physical fitness. The children also learn important life skills such as dedication, hard work, pride and teamwork.

What we offer

We offer three levels of competition for kids in grades K-8:

Grades K - 2 Developmental League

We offer a Developmental League where budding players can work on basketball fundamentals through games and activities. Typically these sessions run on Saturdays at Boylston Elementary School from early-December to early-February. [K] at 9am, [1st] at 10am, and [2nd] at 11am.

Grades 3 - 8 Recreation League

Players of all skill levels will be placed on town teams to compete in the Nashoba Basketball League. There is equal playing time to all players in the recreation league. There are typically 1-2 practices per week, with games played on either Saturday (grades 5-8) or Sunday (grades 3-4). Games might involve travel to towns like Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Harvard, Lancaster, Stow and West Boylston.

Grades 5 - 8 Travel League

Our more experienced and skilled players are invited to try out for one of our travel teams that compete in the Central Mass Youth Basketball League. There are typically 2 practices per week, with games played on Sunday. While all players play in the games equal playing time is not guaranteed.
While it’s called the travel league it doesn’t mean that there is a lot of traveling involved. Typically there are five away games per year and often times games are played against local towns like Grafton, Marlborough and Shrewsbury. The furthest distance a game is played is typically no longer than 45 minutes away.
